A dropping mini-flood and warm air offered really good conditions today with about 1ft 9in on the river gauge. Even with light fishing pressure, three lovely salmon were landed of 12lb, 10lb & 14lb with a brace for a first-time visitor. A big 8lb sea trout was also caught by a third rod who arrived for the evening session. The 12lb salmon was remarkably fresh run and strong. Two salmon were also hooked and lost – one a very big fish from the Home Pool. All fish were returned safely.
